Elmhurst Interior Design Primary Bath Remodel

Expect some hiccups.

If we can just brace ourselves for hiccups, unexpected twists or cost increases, the impact won’t be as hard, right? Sometimes two week projects take three months, right? Well that’s sort of how this one went but it was all worth the wait. The shower alone is worth everything. Delays, delays and delays. I think the tub sat on a freight ship for a few months but we eventually got it!

The old bathroom needed to go as it was dated, the whirlpool tub was leaking and the whole thing needed an update. The feeling we wanted for this bathroom was to be clean, modern and cozy. The white grout with the handmade tile made it clean and the wood from the vanities made it warm. The ceilings were tall so I really wanted to draw the eye up and so the tall mirrors were installed. The brass and black sconces incorporated the two colors of the rest of the fittings so that was the joining piece that brought the black from the vanity hardware, the dark grout from the shower floor tile and then the accessories for the vanity counters. Overall, this space is so inviting and comfortable, I just loved how this all turned out. Big thanks to Jake Home Improvement for an amazing job well done!

Just so we remember how it started…

A picture is worth a thousand words.
